Where is the Venue?

Out of the Blue is being staged at Trafalgar Park in Nelson city on Saturday 6 January 2018.

 

What time will gates open?

Gates will open at midday - with artists playing from midday until 10pm.

Where can I get tickets from?


Can I bring food and beverages into the ground?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a reasonable quantity of snacks/cold food. We will have vendors on-site & we will post a full catering list of options as soon as we have it confirmed.
NO GLASS OF ANY KIND ON-SITE PLEASE.


How much are children's tickets?

One child – 17 years or younger – will be given free admittance when accompanied by an adult or guardian who has purchased a ticket. If you have more than one child per adult, adult ticket prices apply.


Weather

The festival will go ahead rain, hail or shine. The only grounds for cancellation would be if the weather means it is unsafe for attendees or production crew. In that case, refunds would be made in full. There will be a very large Flexi Tent on site for shade & shelter if required.


Can I bring liquor of any type into the ground?

No BYO alcohol. We are licensed to sell food, wine & beer and there is a great variety of options available. All bags are searched on arrival. Any alcohol found will be confiscated.
Clean, drinkable water will be available on-site, along with bottled water for purchase.

Will bags be checked on entry?

Yes, they will be checked by security.


Can I bring a chair to the event?

Absolutely, you are encouraged to. And some warm clothing for later in the evening.


Are we able to come and go from the event during the day?

Yes everyone will be able to scan out and scan back in again.


Can I pay with cash at the bar and food stalls?

No the event is going to be cashless, we will use an RFID, chip based system in your wristband.

This will speed up processes and help negate queues at gates, bars or food vendors.


Can I top up the wristband at any time?

Yes. Bring your cash and cards to top up your wristband on the day. There will be kiosks and roving event staff specifically for this.


Can I get refunds for any money left on the wristband post event?

Yes, via the AWOP website, within 4 weeks of the event.


Bringing young children

We recommend that you write a contact mobile phone number on their arm or wristband. Also, arrange to meet at the Information Centre if you are separated. 


Will we have activities for children to play on or with?

No this is a live musical event, it is critical that children are supervised by their family at all times.


In purchasing tickets

The promoter Showcase Nelson Ltd reserves to right to be able to use any video or photographic material captured for the promotion of any future events. Recording of the event for commercial purposes must have authorisation from the promoter and our agreements with the artists will forbid this from happening. The promoter also reserves the right to be able to change the lineup at any time, pre or during the event.


First Aid

St. Johns will be on-site & clearly signposted.


Glass

No glass of any kind on-site please!


Lost & Found

An Information Centre will be on-site & clearly signposted. All enquiries should start there. Any items found will be held for 7 days. After 7 days, all items will be donated to charity.

Shade

There will be shaded areas on the day. We will be monitoring the situation to ensure anyone who needs shade can get some. We ask that you leave your umbrellas and shade tents at home so everyone gets a fair view.


Zero Waste

Please dispose of your waste in the correct recycling bins, which are clearly signposted around the site.


Noise complaints

All noise complaints must be registered with the Nelson City Council. Ph 03 546 0200.


Anything else we should know?

NCC has a blanket no smoking policy at all NCC venues.
No gang patches nor political materials will be allowed within Trafalgar Park.

This is a community orientated event, any aggressive behaviour towards anyone else will simply not be tolerated. Security will be appropriately briefed.

Our liquor license makes clear all of the rules by which we are able to serve patrons, we will strictly follow those rules with zero tolerance.
